The Mafico Renewal Institute is passionate about motivating people to observe the spirituality of rest. Those who practice rest as worship and sacred rite allow the body to rejuvenate, realign the immune system, and heal itself from debilitating conditions such as stress, depression, obesity, and burnout, which lead to diseases like hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, insomnia, and certain types of cancers.
The Mafico Institute achieves its objectives by sponsoring self-care training workshops, leading pilgrimages for rest and spiritual renewal, offering pastoral care and counseling, and by teaching biblical health and self-awareness principles.
The ultimate goal of the Mafico Institute is to help people live and enjoy abundant life. It is no exaggeration that stress affects marriages, child rearing, road rage, and many mental conditions in affluent countries. That is why, like the Bible emphasizes, people need to be taught, i.e. educated to learn how to de-stress by adopting a lifestyle that balances work and rest.
